Author Biographies

Sue Eckstein

SUE ECKSTEIN is a Lecturer in Clinical and Biomedical Ethics at Brighton and Sussex Medical School where, in addition to teaching ethics, she has created optional humanities-based modules for medical students. She was founder and co-editor of Clinical Ethics. Her radio plays, Kaffir Lilies, Laura, and Old School Ties, and her dra matisation of her first novel, The Cloths of Heaven (Myriad 2009) have been broadcast on BBC Radio 4. Her second novel, Interpreters, was published in 2011.

Bobbie Farsides

BOBBIE FARSIDES is Professor of Clinical and Biomedical Ethics at Brighton and Sussex Medical School. She was the principal investigator on the European Palliative Care: Ethics and Communication project. She retains an interest in all aspects of palliative care ethics and continues to work closely with professionals in the field. She was founder coeditor of Clinical Ethics. She is currently working on a project which seeks to capture the experience of people diagnosed with Parkinsons disease within the larger Wellcome Trust funded Labtec project.
