Foundation for Australian Literary Studies Monograph No. 11. 1985, Place, Region and Community
Abstract
This monograph by Bruce Bennett, produced as part of the Foundation for Australian Literary Studies Monograph series, explores notions of the importance of place to Australian writing. Bennett interrogates the importance of the location of the author both geographically and culturally. Bennett proposes that the study of literature should be prepared to look more closely at writers' statements about place, both as features within literary works and as factors in their genesis.Downloads
