Abstract

Based on the 1991 Colin Roderick Lecture for the Foundation for Australian Literary Studies at James Cook University by Shirley Walker, this monograph examines how three "strong and radical women who have been closely involved in political and social causes in Australia" also share "tender and eulogistic images of Australian childhood."
