Abstract

HENRY LAWSON was born in the early hours of 17th June 1867, i.e., during the night of 16th-17th June, at Grenfell, New South Wales. The spot on which he is reputed to have come into the world is today marked by an obelisk about a mile to the south of Grenfell, in the north-east corner of Lawson Park.
